Memory and Multiple Sclerosis Recruitment

*** You will be compensated for your time ***
For your participation in a new study examining the effect of a memory
retraining technique with individuals with multiple sclerosis.

If you:
  • are diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis
  • between ages 30-59 years
  • are experiencing significant memory problems
  • have no other neurological illness

What does it require?

  • 8 months of participation
    • Week One: 1-3 hour visit to Kessler Medical Rehabilitation Research and Education Corporation in West Orange, NJ
    • Weeks 2-6: two 1-hour sessions per week at Kessler in West Orange, during which time you will either undergo an experiment treatment for memory problems or participate in memory exercises
    • Week 7: 1-3 hour visit to Kessler
    • Months 3-7: depending on what group you are assigned to, either (1) nothing or (2) one hour session per month at Kessler
    • Month 8: 1-3 hour visit to Kessler
  • Completing some paper-and-pencil memory tests and questionnaires at 3 different times within those 8 months.

Adults Needed in Study of Brain Injury
to participate in research involving neuroimaging and cognitive testing

*** Participants will be reimbursed for their participation ***

If you:
  • have sustained a Brain Injury
  • between ages 18-55 years
  • must be right-handed

What does it require? Study lasts approximately 3 hours
